- Youth Employment Strategy Created by the Government of Canada, this initiative is designed to help young Canadians (aged 15 to 30) obtain career information, develop skills, find good jobs and stay employed. This national strategy offers a broad range of initiatives under three programs:
- Skills Link Helps young people who face more barriers to employment than others such as high school dropouts, single parents, Aboriginal youth, young persons with disabilities, youth in rural areas or recent immigrants.
- Career Focus Helps post-secondary graduates develop advanced skills and find careers in their fields.
- Job Futures Career tool that provides useful information about 265 occupational groups and describes the work experiences of recent graduates from 155 programs of study.
- Actua National charitable organization dedicated to providing young Canadians with positive, hands-on learning experiences in science, technology and engineering.
- CAREERS: The Next Generation Industry-driven private/public partnership dedicated to the career development of Alberta's youth.

Provides information and contacts for skilled careers in northeastern BC's trades and technology sectors. - Skilled Trades Provides apprenticeship information for youth, educators and employers, including an Employer Toolkit which details apprenticeship program guidelines, benefits and resources.
- Skills Work Ontario Promotes careers in skilled trades and technologies.
- Summer Work Experience Program Provides wage subsidies to employers to create summer employment for secondary and post-secondary students, and supports the operation of summer employment offices.
- Trade Secrets Explains how to get started in a trade in Alberta.
- Trade-Up Information on careers in Alberta's construction industry.
- CRAFTCentre is the new Employment Assistance Service that has established a connection to high-paying construction jobs with the British Columbia's Construction Building Trades.
