This classification consists of professional and technological jobs engaged in preventing, identifying and eliminating sources of industrial pollutants; analyzing and testing air, water, soil, and other source samples to determine how best to clean and preserve the environment; preserving water supplies and reclaiming contaminated land and water. Offshore, they monitor weather and the impact petroleum exploration has on marine life.
